The Restaurant article goes on to further say that 30% of staff say their employer supports a good work-life balance, up from 19% last year. Showing growth within the sector, but much more is needed to match the status quo.

On one hand, high job satisfaction generally translates to lower turnover costs, higher productivity, and an overall positive impact on the bottom line. On the other hand, losing skilled and experienced employees to other sectors could result in increased recruitment and training costs, not to mention the potential disruption to service delivery and customer experience.
